| The following original crochet pattern is provided for your possible use with best wishes for many happy hours of handiwork and success from The Pumamouse (MaryAnne). MATERIALS: “RED HEART” 4 ply Worsted Weight Yarn 7 oz Red 7 oz Orange 7 oz Yellow 7 oz Green 7 oz Blue 7 oz Purple 24 oz Black Hook “I” With Black, Chain 166 plus 3 to turn. (169 total). Turn. 1 DC in fourth chain from hook and in next 8 chains. 3 DC in next chain. 1 DC in next 9 chains. Skip next 2 chains. (One ripple is complete.) *1 DC in next nine chains, 3 DC in next chain, 1 DC in next nine chains, skip next 2 chains. Repeat from * across, ending with the 9th DC in the very last chain. Chain 3 and turn. Skip the first DC, repeat from * across to end of row, but DO NOT DC IN THE LAST STITCH. (Leave the last stitch of previous row empty.) Chain 3 and turn. Note: Each ripple should be 6” wide. This afghan’s color pattern is as follows: 8 ROWS BLACK 2 ROWS EACH OF PURPLE, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED 8 ROWS BLACK 2 ROWS EACH OF PURPLE, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED 8 ROWS BLACK 2 ROWS EACH OF PURPLE, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED 8 ROWS BLACK 2 ROWS EACH OF PURPLE, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED 8 ROWS BLACK 2 ROWS EACH OF PURPLE, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED 8 ROWS BLACK 2 ROWS EACH OF PURPLE, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED 8 ROWS BLACK NOTE: Each BLACK stripe is 5”, each RAINBOW stripe is 7.5”.
