| "VOICES IN THE WIND" Words And Music Written 1981 © 2001 Over sleepy crystal waters, I saw a ship sail out to sea The wind was softly blowing, I heard a voice calling me It whispered clear and low, “Never try to count the stars For they are oh so many, and they are oh too far.” I listened very closely to the voices that I heard I wanted to hear more, the voice continued with these words “Count instead the moments that you spend without a tear For they are what the eyes of every real dreamer fears.” So I turned and started walking and before it was too long I saw a child laughing, and in his voice I heard a song “It’s easy to be happy when you don’t know what pain is It’s as simple as a flower or a love song or a kiss But if you have known heartache and you still know how to laugh My friend, it’s that much better after you’ve seen the darker half.” Maybe I’m being foolish, but I believe the voices were right I may lose to pain in the end, but I’ll but up one hell of a fight Voices in the wind Voices in the wind |
