| IN MEMORIUM TOM MEEHAN (1915-2003) Sadly, another Springbok Radio veteran, Tom Meehan, passed away today (02/01/2003) at the age of 87. Tom Meehan will always be remembered for all the great Durban comedies that were heard on Springbok Radio from the late 1960’s to the end of the station in 1985. He contributed to the famous shows like: “The Men From The Ministry” (as Sir Gregory Pitkin), “Father Dear Father” (as Patrick Carter), “Friends & Neighbours”, “The Navy Lark” and numerous Lux Radio Theatre, Playhouse 90 and Tuesday Theatre productions.
